Which do you prefer?

I asked this question on the old forum, but maybe opinions will have changed now we've had a chance to fully digest both albums.

For me if I think of my favourite Babyshambles songs, they're probably all off Down in Albion. However, as a complete album, SN is probably better. Every song on it is decent. Down in Albion had some pretty bad songs.

If you were to play an album right through, what would it be?

Right through Shotters Nation for sure, I still can't listen to one or two songs of DIA unless I'm in the mood for them, I can listen to Shotters Nation almost always, that said I probably have more memories that go along with SN so maybe that's part of it, I love the live versions and stuff

down in albion is so special to me. i have to choose A. but shotters nation was well produced.

down in albion! for some reason i just like it better, its different, it is one of the only albums i can listen to anytime, every single track.

it feels like down in albion was produced under different circumstances (probably drug-fuelled love or something like that? ) than shotter's nation. love shotter's nation though..

Definitely Shotter's Nation is way better produced than Down in Albion, which makes it more listenable from beginning to end but i think DIA has more special one of a kind songs, i mean i've never heard an album like that before..though it really bothers me that some songs (up the morning) take about a minute to start and songs like sticks and stones sound really bad.

So bottom line I can't possibly choose, i love them both so much and i listen to them on diffrent situations. Maybe the third one will become my fav who knows, i can't wait to hear it.

For me it's Down in Albion. Shotters Nation was a decent album, but the the raw production on Down in Albion suited the shambles and represented what the band stood for at the time. Shotters Nation had a few too many poppy songs on it if you know what I mean. Down in Albion was pure rock and roll.

It's Down in Albion for me as well, a lot of it though is nostalgia, when that came out I was having one of those "best year ever"s and it was one of the only English things I had with me in Sicily in the summer of 06 (I was with a bf all that summer over there, miss it like crazy!)

Down in Albion, without a doubt.
